Wind buffeting

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I've just sold my Octavia and bought a Roomster 1.2 DSG. It's all good except that I notice a lot of wind buffeting if I drive with the window open. I see that there is an aftermarket deflector, although they don't look great. The question is do they make a significant difference?

Thanks

I noticed exactly the same issue but rather than install those ugly after-market deflectors I just crack the rear window by about an inch. No more buffeting & zero cost ;)

Wind deflectors were the best thing I ever bought when we had our roomster

Thanks for the advice. I'll try the cheaper option first!

It works! Opening a rear window one inch does the trick.

Thanks

Michael

And in cooler weather, half an inch may be enough (two of us aboard). The aircon is a boon in the recent hot weather, used it all the way back from Shropshire via Derbyshire to Waky, in conjunction with an inch of NSR window, hardly any effect on fuel consumption was a bonus!
