VAGCOM HELP - Interior Lights

Featured Replies

I have recently purchased VAGCOM and my first job was to code LED number plates lights on my 2014 Octavia VRS. Job done and working, however along the way I have turned my interior lights OFF. I have tried to retrace my steps but I haven't a clue what I have done!!!!!

Any help would be appreciated and if there is anyone in the South Wales area willing to give me some tips on using Vagcom then please let me know... Happy to by you a pint!!

Thanks

Simon

As very much an amateur with vcds, I presume that someone will give you a better guide but one thing I have picked up is that logs of what you've done are kept by the program! Hopefully you'll be able to retrace your steps from there.

Did you ignore any warnings in red on the coding page?

And did you by any chance do an Autoscan and save a log before playing with the settings?

Have you checked the fuse hasn't blown? Not sure what you could have accidentally changed in VCDS that would have resulted in having no interior lights.

What exact changes did you make? Coding for LED number plates is just an adaptation

I know at the same time I looked at the ambient lighting and adjusted but realised like a dumb arse I have got ambient lighting. I thought all was ok until the wife used the car and said no interior light and all the dashboard was very dim. I sorted that this morning but can't work out for the life of me re the interior light.

i will check the fuse tonight and see if I have another log as I remember doing a scan!!!

If you know where to look VCDS keeps a log of every change you have made :)
