Anyone know an estimated price of replacing the waterpump as it looks like timing belt has to be done at the same time

You're out of warranty but try emailing Skoda UK. It's a known defect and a well documented one, there is every chance the fault on your car is a manufacturing defect.

If Skoda are feeling generous (and they should given they know about the fault) then they should be offering you a gesture of goodwill towards the cost...

just paid 740 euros for pump and cambelt including recovery, despite having 12 months warranty they say it isnt covered here in France, I have emailed skoda uk and will update you all

SUK Customer services will refuse this, and say speak to a dealer for a goodwill gesture.  You might get somewhere as you are under the 60k mileage limit, but over on age (thus out of warranty), but be prepared to work hard for it!

Goodwill can come from a dealer, Skoda UK or both.

Most of my goodwill over the years has come from Skoda UK albeit via their dealer network.

According to SUK customer services, they no longer offer any goodwill.  You have to get the goodwill via the dealer (who might then claim it back from SUK, but that bit you have no control off).  I did eventually get SUK to tell the dealer to do the job for free, but the costs seemed to be taken on the nose by the dealer - which is why they didn't want to do it to start with!
