Scuffed wheel for no reason!

Featured Replies

Pretty miffed this afternoon. Was just getting in my car and noticed the drivers side wheel has been scuffed on my Pegasus anthracites. I have never kerbed them. In fact I never park near kerbs. Can a pothole have done this? I tried to avoid them when I can and am flummoxed to the could have caused this :-(

Edge of a roadworks ramp, iron works / plate on the road type thing normally.

Centre division leaving a car park,  leaving your car in the hands of a Dealership.

I got my 230 back yesterday, the Dealers/menders, Sorry head scratchers have had it for 2 weeks and they have managed to kurb my O/S/R Extreme alloy

The Pegasus alloys look very much like the Interlagos on the VW Scirocco, they were known for being very easy to scuff on the Scirocco owners forum. Some people think they scuffed them just driving over rough road surfaces.

" We might be able to get it repaired, Er no, new wheel please. " If the wheel suffers white worm later it won't be covered by warranty.  " Sorry Sir, wheels been repaired so it's not covered "

What ! They damage they supply a new wheel ! Have they admitted to it ! Jeez I'm fuming for you.... Sick and tired of this attitude and not just from dealers.... If they don't play ball nuke 'em from orbit....

Keep us posted...

I have Pegasus wheels as well (normal silver ones) and they have become slightly scuffed on the front as well. Never kerbed them either but have hit a few potholes.  They do seem sensitive enough.

If it is a diamond cut don't accept a repair. I scraped a diamond cut wheel myself on a previous car and had it repaired but although it looked perfect, it didn't last - white worm after about 18 months.
