Red coils - 2.0TSI

Featured Replies

I see a set of red coils in my future which I plan to purchase cheap through work rather going OE. On my shelf I have a number of brands described as OEM suppliers but other than Hella, am unsure about the rest.

Hella (only have 1)

Beru

BBT

ERA

Thoughts?

Only know of Beru because they still have some genuine parts still listed on the etka sheets and the information rayx posted in the spark plugs thread.

Normally i'd use Bosch or NGK packs but as you will see from discussion in the spark plug thread, it is just personal preference and experience more than anything else. I see you don't appear to have those options though!

Apparently, from what he said, Beru were an old independent German parts manufacturer but now part of federal mogul, so not sure how much differentiation there is to Champion or if it is only branding now...

BBT are also German, their website show the part number we stock as OEM quality.

The Beru look the closest to OE with the same manufacturing marks, save for the printing. Might be a goer.

Looks very oem, if cosmetics are anything to go by!
