Non-illuminating needles on MaxiDot

Featured Replies

Car as listed in signature below. Have only just noticed that neither the temperature needle or the fuel gauge needles are illuminating.

All gauges are working correctly, just no illumination on those two needles. Tried switching the brightness down and up and couple of times, tried a couple of "strategically placed taps" around the needles, but nothing.

Not the end of the world, an annoyance more than anything. Assuming sealed units and I'd be looking at replacing the whole Maxidot to fix?

If so, I won't bother - during the day both gauges are fine and at night I look to where the illuminated dials break - that is where the non-illuminated needles are :)

Call cartronix mate ive got same thing on mine, the only one that does work is speedo needle rest of them dont light up. Youre looking at 150 if you take your clocks out if not i think they charge somewhere round 50 quid.

indeed, cartronix. i drove down, took cluster out which is piece of cake,  and they did mine while i waited. took 1/2 hr. they do a fast turn around courier option, i guess thats your best bet. (we made the best of it and had a nice day out in portsmouth!) you"ll get ALL new bulbs with lifetime guarantee.
