Aftermarket HIDs are not technically legal in the UK, but at the same time the Law concerning them is very fuzzy and its unlikely in the near future that it will change to a point where you could see yourself in trouble for fiting them.

The two things you need are Auto Level adjust and Washers (which is where the bulk of the cost is).

You'll find that most retailers of aftermarket HID kits state in the very small print that the kits are recommended for show purposes.

My mate has these in his Leon, and they were in his Alfa before that.
