Octavia vRS Questions.

Featured Replies

I've bought a 2010 vRS and have a couple of questions...

First off the drivers side window only goes up and down when holding the switch. The rest go up and down with one touch.

Second, the rear passenger door seems to need 3 presses of the unlock button to unlock - one unlocks drivers door, two unlocks the other doors (not sure if this is intermittent as only checked it twice).

Is there a way to make these work like the rest?

Try resetting the window switch, Ignigition on and lower the window with the switch, once down hold the button until it clicks, then window right up and again hold the switch until it clicks. see if that clears the fault

Yes, try resetting the window switch operation.

AFAIK, there is only one or two press unlocking options. So your rear door unlocking may be an intermittent fault.

Regarding the one key press for doors. Yes it can be done.  You'll need VCDS or something like Carista at the very least.

do you have maxi dot? as (as long as it's been enabled through vcds) there is an option for door unlocking.

but this is normal one for the driver 2 for all the others its not a fault it's a feature

Thanks, I'll take a look at the window.

I'm new to Skoda, only had the car since Sunday so I don't know what maxidot is (or VCDS, I had a box called OpCom for my previous car for changing and programming with a laptop via the OBD port so I assume it's something similar).

Maxidot is the upgraded display between your rev counter and speedo. If you see a plan view of a car with a door open when you open a vehicle door, then you have maxidot.

I do have that, so I'll have a play later on. Thanks
