is it better than just using normal cleaning products? Do you get the same shine.

Depends on how much effort you want to put into waxing and polish , i found that it is just as much shine with lots less effort . Black like mine always bad to keep clean . Wash , use conditioner once a month , and finish off with a Microfibre cloth and Turtle WAX IT WET spray , Found the Microfibre cloths work faster and better than a leather shamy .

does the microfibre cloth lift of dirt?

Use the Microfibre to Dry off not wash , for that use a sheepskin mit or similar , , sure some car care experts will be along soon , but for my reason the Mictrofibre soaks up the water better than a leather , also saw some article that suggested less likely to trap grit between bodywork and cloth unlike Leather . Also cheaper to replace more often .Surprising how much the cloths soak up , also with the Diamondbrite on , there is less water left behind as it beads off quicker . Only my opinion though . Everyone to there own best method .

:)

Diamondbrite is a good cheap quick fix if you buy it on eBay for a tenner.

It's nowhere near as good as a dedicated polish and wax combo.

All this cr ap about it lasting for years is nonsence. I found that after a month, I needed to apply more of it.

I now use Meguiars NXT Wax Spray over the winter, and then in the summer I go crazy with the proper Zymol stuff that costs far too much (but actually less than a dealer charges to apply Diamondbrite!!)

Waste of money IMO. You cant beat a good wax and top coat sealer

just done it on my superb. cost me about 20 quid off ebay with a fabric protector. car looks shinier than any of my motors ever have - well recommended. you could possibly get shinier with manual polishing, but not very easily - car looks *mint* now...

I suppose it all depends on what a persons perception is of a "Good Finish" because perception is indeed reality.

This is the reality, perceive what you will;
