Kodiaq Has arrived!

Featured Replies

So I have received my Kodiaq 1.4 DSG Edition in Quartz Grey and it looks and drives very well!

I haven't had a chance to fully play with it yet but couple of things I have noticed -

1. Mirrors not tilting when reversing.
I know it works for the passenger one when I change the turn dial to L for the mirrors but for the drivers side it still does not work.

2. Park Assist - I have tested this out twice.
1st Attempt it parked perfectly
2nd attempt it hit the curb!

Anyone have any ideas why it hit the curb and could that mean there may be a fault with it?

3. Info Call button calls the breakdown service (at first it did not work at all until I selected breakdown and then info again).

4. Car Jack seems to be missing, no space saver wheel or puncture repair kit?

MY Yeti with electric seat used to dip just the passenger side mirror.

If you didn't spec the spare wheel you won't get a jack. There's no need if you've nothing to change.

Park assist with take it's positioning from other vehicles parking places. If they're parked on the kerb that's where you are heading too.

As above, Park Assist lines itself up with the other cars. So if they are carp at parking ........

As above, passenger side mirror dips for reverse and park assist is is a waste of time and effort (if you can drive) - I had it on my previous Superb and couldn't trust is as far as I could throw it. You may get to love it, but your wheels and corners may not last that long.

Enjoy the new car :-)

Lesson: never buy a used car that has park assist. If the driver's not ruined it, the computer will have done.

So I have been testing the park assist over the weekend (bought mainly for the wife and partially as I like to play with new tech).

Apart from the 1 instance as mentioned above, it worked a treat every other time.

Maybe it learns and gets better as it ages :P
