I have a 2016 Superb Hatchback and I am having real trouble getting a budget rear mounted bike rack that will fit. Bought one from Cycle Republic that said it would fit but it doesn't. Want to pay £50-£75 only, as it will only be for occasional use.

 

Any advice would be much appreciated

The trouble with rear mounted bike racks is that they often obscure the lights and/or number plate and if they don't it is quite easy to damage the car with them or with the cycles fitted to them.

To be honest I think you are better to fork our for a cheap roof mounted rack, assuming you haven't got a towbar to fix one to.

Can you mount a rack on the rear of the Superb?  Is the top half of the hatch not all glass?  How would it attach on?
