if you search through the guides, there is the equivalent of that thread in there too!

does anyone know the proper name/model of those Leon Cupra R Alloys and what a set might cost new?

SEAT Leon Cupra R wheels as mentioned in the thread.

Availalbe from SEAT

New they were about £150 each iirc plus tyres. I got an odd stock set dirt cheap as I worked for SEAT at the time.

Probably quite expensive new and only come in 18" in the UK. Euro ones come in 17", but Mille Miglia do a very similar alloy, the HT3 which comes in a variety of sizes to suit VAG cars.

:)

HT3 Linky

Aye but they are 18's

You can order 17's from a UK dealer

Hmmmm, can you now !! :)

The 17's are also fitted to the end of line Leon FR TDI (commonly, but not officially known as FR+), obviously if you could source a set, perhaps via a wanted advert on cupra.net you'd still need to change tyres, so buying new could actually be the best option.

thanks for your advice, i feel a phone call to seat coming up!

Those ones that are on ebay are they 18" Version which i think will fit but they have 225/40/18 rubber is that too large?

Yes, way too large technically. Though having said that shifty has a set of wheels with similar size tyres so they may well fit, but would throw the gearing way out, and unless you have lower springs on it would probably look a bit 4x4'ish as well.
