octy rs slower after 2 days of custom code remap

Featured Replies

I have the old octy vrs in india and its 150 bhp stock. I got a custom code remap done about 3 weeks ago. Custom code has just been launched in India some time ago. The thing is that the day i got my car remapped, it seemed to have a remarkable diffrence and there was a smile on my face while diving it. I run only 97 octane fuel which is the best available here.

But it seems to have gone much slower after a couple of days is this normal? or should i check with my dealer if there is a problem.

I dont know if the dealer would help cos i am not sure if they keep back-ups or copies of remaps done on cars. Can anyone think of a reason why my car seems slower??

No it's definately not normal. I would advise taking it back to whoever did the work and asking them if there is a fault. Even if they dont keep a backup they should be able to help you. Good luck!

By the way 97 Octane fuel is not bad stuff!

I'm considering a remap as well and I was wondering what it costs and who does it? Are there any dyno results available on the end product?

Interested to hear about your experience as well. Please let us know how things turn out...

It may well be a fault not related to the remap. Remaps dont tend to go bad, they are a program not mechanical.

It costs abt 45 k unless you can pull off a discount. And no..there are no rolling road or dyno test available n india. There is petes performance in cochin who is the authorised agent of custom code in india' date=' but depending on where u live, i might be able to tell you who the dealer is in your region. let me know.

Maybe something has caused your ECU to go into limp mode.

There's a possibility that a loose boost hose has blown off somewhere in your engine bay.

Can you hear a loud whistle (not the normal turbo whistle) coming from your engine when you accellerate hard?

Take it back to your Custom Code dealer and ask them to check it out.

The whistle is actually very prominent and starts at a much lower rev than earlier. I did make that out. Its definitely different than earlier. Also, when i leave the accelerator, i can hear some air being let out, i dont know from where. Do u think its a hose problemm?
