BKD engine loosing cooling liquid

Featured Replies

Hi,

Would share you knowledge regarding my cooling liquid loss problem what most likely seems to be related to fraction(caused by electric cable run) base issue.

Please look attached pictures and my questions below, please !

Preinformation:

- Engine type is BKD, 2.0 TDI 16V

- All services are executed on local Skoda authorized service point

Point 1: Referring to the "Pic1_with_comments" attachment, is the cable run correct ? Which goes over the aluminium pipe run what in turn serves cooling liquid returning flow to expansion tank

Please see comments and questions in the picture!

Point 2: At the end of electric cable run seems to be a sensor, is this used only for Nordic countries(cold environment) ?

Point 3:  Rest of the attachments shows the aluminium pipe fraction, where cooling liquid flow out

Thanks in advance,

BR,

Antti

I live in Denmark and drive a "nordic" car. Will have a look under the hood and take a pic you can use for comparison but I don't remember seeing that cable routed over those pipes. Will get back to you.

Apparently I don't have that...

I'm going to guess that its a valve.

I would unplug it and run the engine and see which code pops up for it, if any
