Recently the clutch was replaced. It was not yet worn (109.000 km) but the 1,8tsi engine was using too much oil (norm is more than 1 ltr / 1.000km) and the piston rings were replaced under leniency arrangement.

 

During acceleration I notice some slipping / fibration on the clutch. Having a trailer (<400kg) and going uphill, the clutch really smells. The fibration during normal acceleration without trailer happened as well with the old clutch.

 

Is someone aware of problems with the clutch? could it be a bad installation?

Sounds like major clutch slip - so yes it does sound like a bad installation
