REMAPPED TIPS & INFO

Featured Replies

Good afternoon skoda community

just a quick one I am considering getting the vrs tdi remapped, from 170bhp to 226bhp

is there anything that you should do so the car is prepared? ie egr oil return boost sensors and so on,

any info would be greatly appreciated

Clutch, turbo, vacuum pipes, dpf. As long as you think your clutch could handle the extra power, your turbo is healthy with no boost leaks including vac lines, dpf regens as it should (i'd personally have it gutted to go with map) all should be ok. If you know your car and well maintain it go for it.

full service, was an old boys from new, I've checked this car religiously,

I did read about solid flywheel, but I think she can take it, clutch is good,

just didn't no if there are anymore manufacture conversions I could benefit from before doing it

thanks for ya time Kris82

OP if I may ask whom are you considering getting the remap done from?

TDI TUNING I believe its the CRTD4

they are a customer of mine well the branch is, and I know they do a lot of agricultural in the area so they playing with very expensive equipment plus word and mouth and reviews

My non VRS (BKD) went from 140ish to 231bhp after doing the following :

- Full service (Filters/Oils ect)
- SMF
- Stage 2 clutch
- Hard intercooler pipe work with new clamps
- Audi S3 intercooler
- EGR removed & delete
- S212 Turbo Technics hybrid turbo
- Open cone filter
- Decat
- Straight piped
- 4 bar sensor
- Custom made map by Narco Tuning with hardcut

I'm sure there was something else but can't think off the top of my head...

Good luck!
