2.0 TDI Limp Mode When Pushed Hard No Codes

Featured Replies

Morning All,

Hope you're all well I'm back with another issue.

I've found that sometimes when I accelerate hard the car goes into limp mode, as if the turbo cuts out and the revs take ages to build, there are no warning lights and no codes stored when this happens. If I switch the car off and back on everything is back to normal power is restored.

It's a 2.0 TDI BKD engine DSG Gearbox.

Has anyone had this happen to them if so how did you go about fixing it?

Thank you in advance

See the thread just below on Loss of power.

Symptoms are of clogged turbo vanes but there are other things to check as shown in the referred thread of 1st April.

99% that'll be sticky vanes, I had a bkd engine with exactly the same issue, when you say no codes what are you using to check?

there's a mr muscle turbo clean guide on here, id do that first.

After posting I did read up about using Mr muscle to free the vanes which I would like to try but haven't found a proper how 2 for the bkd engine
