Alloys, cotton filter and different rear lights are 1st on my list of to do's. The GTI rear likes i think i'm going to go for.

Aero wipers... yup another good cheap mod.

Rest... yup can do... no warranty yay!!!

personally i would sort brakes and susp first then you might avoid bending this one... 312mm up front ds2500 pads. and some kw3 or bilsteins.....

previous owner has put audi tt 312's on it already

Looks like a great purchase mate! Nice one

I do like Golfs, I just think they are too expensive.

I'm sure you'll mod it very tastily! ;)

Oh yes, mods already set.... footwell lighting (new stylee im doing with LEDs) exterior handle lighting on unlock/door open (i.e like bmw 3 seris)

Underdoor puddle lights.

Sat-nav from furby

Ipod connection

Bulb upgrade for headlights

Alloys

Rear Spoiler

Aerowipers (front)

Fabia Wiper (rear)

Cotton air filter.

Anything else... way off in the future.

Cool! Will be watching with a keen eye. I have lots of lighting mods in store - but will be using genuine Skoda Superb footwell lights to do the job.

What about the sat nav?

they're not.... original brakes are back on... and 312's are in a box in the boot.... they wanted to keep their alloys :(

But soon as i source some alloys the 312's go back on.

I missed the start of this thread, being away busting my car. :D

Nice to see you back on the road, Rich.

well i will be when it arrives wednesday.. but yup back and with smoke this time

Very nice car.Agree with everyone else.Wheels first.Everything else later.I like thick five spokes but it's not mine!

Please no A8's though.

Does your sat nav light up green or can you change it? Enjoy!

Get thyself straight to Peterborough. ;) See a bit of smoke then. :D

I expect the Golf will be a fair bit quicker than the Fabia too, eh? Bit more lardy (maybe that should read "spacious" :D) but more guts.

Very nice, Rich - glad you found one you liked :D Definitely talk to Richard about his magic box of tricks

Chris

Have found some Golf V5 alloys... at the bargin price of... FREE till i get some nicer ones  Recieved offer of them this afternoon, woo!

Sat-Nav is green :( But cant do much about it unless anyone here is willing to pay the

Nice car, Rich! :)

On the lettering colour, it seems to have carried over a bit longer in the Skoda community - my 2002 Furby PD100 has red DI (although perhaps it's fitting now ;)).

I'm sure that I've seen new-ish PD100's with red DI as well on Furbies, with none of the letters red for the 1.4TDi.

Either way, nice one! Golf's are superb cars!

thanks, well i picked her up yesterday and already have been to wiltshire and back to swap my skoda sat-nav for a VDub unit. Really good drive, love diesel and loving all the little items in the golf like the little lights in rear, lights for vanity mirrors which come on when you slide the cover open, hooks in boot and all the other little VW touches like dampened grab handles, glove box, fancy ash tray in back, arm rest in rear (yes i know im driving... but others like it!) and BLUE DASH :D :D

Argh! Stop it! I'm getting pangs of regret for getting rid of the Bora... Started getting them last week when I was in a friends Golf GT TDI.

Blue licht! :D

The earlier cars were even wizzier - 12v socket in the boot and a funkier flip up cover for the vanity mirrors in the visors.

No i wont stop it... tehehe
