Getting an alloy with a flat spot straightened

I have a flat spot on one of my alloys.  It's not noticeable to the eye, but the wheel spins irregularly when put on a balancing machine. 

I've  found a company near me which has excellent reviews who claim that they can straighten the wheel for £52.80. 

Anyone had any experts having this done to an alloy. Google searching returns lots of contradictions as to whether it's a good idea or not.
