Need some new wheels for my Boardman MX Sport.

 

Tyres are 700c x 35 and a 9 speed cassette

The only issue I can see is that the max tyre width advised is 32.

 

Current wheels are 24mm external and 17mm internal width. The Mavics are 23mm external and 17mm internal.

 

Do you think I would be OK running 35's?

 

 Alternatively, any other suggestions?

You should be fine. The alternative is to look for cyclocross wheels rather than road.

I probably do about 80% on road with the remaining on gravel tracks, canal towpaths etc so don't need anything too chunky
