What's your Driving Mode setup?

Featured Replies

Engine:  Eco

Chassis:  Comfort

Steering:  Normal

After much chopping and changing I've settled on this for now.  Quite like how the DSG shifts through on Eco and the Steering on Comfort is a bit loose so normal is better.  Chassis on comfort seems to compliment the other two rather well.

Nice to be able to flick into Sport when requred though.!

Engine: normal

Chassis: either normal or comfort

Steering: sports

2.0 TSI 220ps Engine/DSG6:
 mostly D(normal),
sometime, before red light, putting it to Sport(by DSG gear stick) to help brake by engine, during first year used to left DSG paddle on the steering wheel,
sometime, starting on Sport, to get faster Throrttle response, but on second gear have to put in D, in other case it spins up to 4,500(too loud)

DCC Chassis:
 mostly Normal,
 Comfort on bad roads,
Sport on good roads and it is only usable mode on speeds over 150kmh
(i'm dreaming about an Adoptive mode)

Steering:
 Sport all the time

Steering: Normal

Drive: Normal

ACC: Normal

Sport is too much of a compromise with the DSG box.  When pulling out onto a roundabout, I knock it into manual.  This seems to give much better throttle response but I can change up early once I'm with the flow of traffic, instead of screaming to the redline in sport.  Then I put it back into D.

Where are these modes on a car with no DCC?

Press the mode button next to the gear stick.  Then individual, then the config button

Ah OK, we don't have that button. :crying:

this is my setup.......

For chill driving in town:

Engine: ECO

Gearbox: D

Steering: SPORT

Headlights: NORMAL

DCC I dont have; sport suspension always on.

In the rest of the time, outside town or when I want to play, all is in SPORT.

Changed the engine to Normal, as Eco was a bit "coasty".

Now got

Chassis - Comfort

Engine- Normal

Steering - Normal

This seems to be optimum for me now.  Normal packs a decent punch!

I like a good firm, responsive ride so I have:

Chassis: Sport

Steering: Sport

Engine: Normal (But have my Pedal Box+ set on City +3)

Everything else on Normal and I use these settings everywhere so far.

  • 2 weeks later...

Chassis - Normal. Been trying out Comfort so the kids don't puke but it felt like a boat and will probably make it worse.

Steering - Sport

Drive - Normal but I bump the DSG into Sport for roundabouts and quick pullouts.
