Pre-owned Superb...any advice on first steps?

Featured Replies

I am making a separate thread since I saw another individual looking for a used Superb. Thought it might be helpful that answers aren't lost in another thread I started.

So, what are the first things to do when getting a pre-owned Superb?

Is there anything people would definitely recommend doing? Upgrades?

Don't really know what the VCDS is, but have impression depending on equipment installed it is possible to activate certain features.

Mine is a 2014 L&K combi with:

  • Climate control
  • 4x power windows
  • Electrically adjustable mirrors (heated mirrors, folding)
  • Automatic anti-dazzle mirrors (inner, outer)
  • Sunroof (glass, electric)
  • Panorama glass roof
  • KESSY keyless-go
  • Cruise control
  • Parking aid (front, rear)
  • Electrical tailgate opening system (remote)
  • WEBASTO engine pre-heating
  • Interior pre-heating
  • 2x door curtains
  • Inside illuminated doors
  • Spot lights
  • Coming-/Leaving-Home system
  • Adaptive lights

Drive it and enjoy it would be the first things I'd recommend.

Maybe look at getting hill hold sorted if its a DSG if not already on.

You can get the electric tailgate to close from the remote and inside switch with VCDS.

The manual may also suggest memory per key for seats and mirror position if you have electric seats. There is a VCDS thread on here for things that can be done, see what you would like and find some one on here close to you with VCDS from the members with VCDS thread.
