Looking a mk3 octavia vrs tsi

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have been searching for an Octavia mk3 vrs tsi for a while.  Seems to be plenty of rid out there but tough to get a tsi.

I have a budget of £13k.  Would like sub 40k miles.  Must have full service history and must have cruise control?

If anyone is selling one or is has seen one advertised please give me a shout....

Also is there anything I should be looking out for when test driving?

Is there any options you would say are a must have?

Thanks

Mark

Cruise wasn't standard on early ones so double check it actually has it if listed. They aren't terribly specced as standard but for me these were the must have options:

Columbus nav - bigger screen with much better resolution than Bolero or Amundsen. Also guarantees colour maxidot which looks more modern than the standard black and white one.

Canton sound system - Much better clarity and punch than the standard system.

Winter pack - heated windscreen and heated seats are an absolute godsend when winter arrives. Heated nozzles are a bonus.

Other than that I'd say it's a bit of a waiting game to find the right used TSI. I waited months and months before I found mine, but was worth the wait as it was well priced, had less than 15k on it and had 6k of options. Had to make a 9hr round trip mind...

Thanks for the advice ahenners.

Winter pack would be the biggest bonus for me.

I have been searching a good few months. I've missed one or two potentials that have sold quickly.

I am based in northern Ireland which doesn't help matters. I have yet to see one even close to my budget come up based in NI.

But like you I am happy to travel to get the right car!!
