Imported as parts or fully assembled?

Importing a fully assembled body is the most expensive way known of shipping little more than air - which is why a complete body shell for Japanese built cars is either very expensive or unavailable.

Land Rover inspired.

So a ladder chassis is just that, and aluminium body panels are panels.

It will be very much as Land Rovers were kits, and the Santana's were.

You can move kits anyplace in the world and assemble.  You can licence others to build them as well.

Posted in the New Defender thread earlier today

It's very much like a Disco/Defender hybrid.

I genuinely quite like it. I usually do like things that are built to a purpose. This looks like a Tonka toy.

I suspect it might be a rattly bag of bolts in real life (building cars well is not easy even if you are a billionaire, just ask Elon).

The wash down interior is something I dreamed of on a car years ago. I'm interested to see how it does. I'm sure the pre-orders will do well, but we'll see how production deadlines hold up and how many pre-orders are followed through.

Jim Ratcliffe does not allow substandard facilities & constructions, or incompetent employees or contractors.

He never got where he is in the Oil & Gas & Chemical industry by cutting corners, or starting out in IT and promising flights to the moon.
