SP Tuning

Featured Replies

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience with SP Tuning? (www.sp-tuning.co.uk

)

They are advertising a remap service for

If you're looking at the budget remap end of the market spend an extra few quid and get an UPsolute remap, works out at about £300 inc VAT and well worth the money. www.ccctech.co.uk Simon is one of their main distributors in the UK and they have the history and back up to sort out problems, plus as an added bonus he comes to you, not the other way around. I've had three remaps from him on VAG turbo engines and can recommend his service. Quite a few happy customers over on seatcupra.net

For the price its a bargin. I would ask question about what boost pressure is used and is their a money back if you dont like it.

For that price look at Celtic, a few on here can't recommend enough (Shifty and the Fluff')

Thanks for the advice guys,

There are 2 newbies on ebay, both are helpful on email, however only one comes to you, and neither has a trial offer or any dyno plots. I can appreciate a smaller company doesn't have all the gear to do this but as you say it's probably worth sticking with someone that has built up a history and reputation, nobody wants to save a few quid to end up with something they are not happy with.

Thanks again.

Andy

It's not just that, I'd also want the peace of mind in case something bad were to happen, insurance companies tend to prefer larger companies that have records etc being kept. Not saying that an independant person with laptop couldn't do a decent job mind, on the contrary.

Or spend double that £375 (with the 10% briskoda discount) and get a Jabba remap which to cut a long story short is full custom remap with rolling road printouts of before and after and is VERY VERY good.

Most of these guy's selling on Ebay wil be using the same map I suspect.
