6500miles since it's last sesrvices - Asking for an Inspection

Featured Replies

My car was serviced 6500 (ish) miles ago, and MOT'd about 2,000 miles ago... My Fabby Greenline is on Variable servicing... and yesterday my car suddenly 'binged' and said 'Inspection in 19 days' on the Maxi-Dot

What the heck does that mean!! My car has done 76,500 (ish) miles and I came off of fixed servicing after my 40,000 service (2 services ago).

Is it an important 'inspection' or can it be ignored (or cancelled from the computer!?) I don't want to have to fork out a load of money so soon!!!

Cheers Guys

Do what you want if you know there is Long Life Oil in and good to go over 10,000 miles.

When it was serviced 6,500 miles ago did you not check what it showed til the next service>

Ooop... I'm a bellend!!! Forgot that, even though I've not reset the Trip Computer since the last service, it rolls round at 9,999 miles!! so I've actually done 16,696 miles since my last service!! :D

I've now booked my 80,000 service for a couple of weeks... gonna be £395 lighter :(

Are you getting the water pump replaced of something?

Or why £395?

All the filters, and brakes being serviced as they've not been done for 40,000ish miles!

Thems Skoda prices!

Brakes serviced I guess means changing the fluid, along with inspection and clean? Filters are only a few quid each, say £30 the set. Oil around £50. I would hope at that price, its also the fuel filter along with the cabin filter and a re-gas.
