VRS Rear Splitter retrofit

Featured Replies

So since I got my car I have been changing things here and there making parts black and tuning the engine. I have gone from an all silver grandpa car to a lowered two tone creation (kinda like a monte carlo ;) )

But I have been looking at the back of the car and thinking its very bland, since the monte carlo rear diffuser wraps around the back end and connects to the rest of the gloss black trim which runs around the car.

I have been looking at the VRS rear diffuser because it doesn't need to connect to any other trim pieces.

My only issue is that my current exhaust is hidden and has a down pointed tail pipe so I would need to cut it and put on a straight bolt on tail pipe. My question is could I cut a hole in the rear bumper so that the VRS diffuser can fit (as it has an exhaust tunnel) but then I would need to know if my exhaust lines up in the same place like the VRS one does so the tip can poke through?

Any info would be great and also if anyone knows of the part number for this that would also be amazing as currently I only have access to a scrap car diffuser which will require painting.

Yeah I've done it, fairly easy job to be honest, everything lined up nicely including the exhaust.

I just put a tip on the exhaust from eBay. It slipped straight over the standard backbox pipe and lined up really well, few hours work was about it :)

Few random pictures I could find, that's just a standard 1.6 diesel elegance Fabia, not a Vrs etc...

Amazing!! How much would you say is a good price for one of these rear spliters?? I can get one from the link above. Looks like a worthy mod in my eyes!

Both your car and mine are from the same area FY60 / FY61 ;)  Looks very swish with the debadge, wiper delete and rear spliter!!

I paid about £40 for one from a scrap yard, used tiger seal and two screws to hold it in place, you'll see when you get it there's two locating bracket things, I applied pressure to push them through and out a screw through them sideways so they'll leave work loose.

Thank you, i sold it not long ago and use the Monte Carlo parked beside it as my daily but that's going soon as well to make room for a VW Caddy.

i built it as a diesel Vrs really, Vrs wheels, coilovers, front bumper, rear bumper, exhaust tip, spoiler and gave it some performance to match with a Audi S3 FMIC, darkside hard pipe kit and CR177 turbo, remapped it was quicker than the Vrs anyway :D
