Broadband advice needed please

Featured Replies

Yeah we have a signal and an aerial - we lived here in the BC years as well, you know :)

 Some houses weren't (aren't) allowed to have outdoor aerials if they were built with cable connections, to avoid that Coronation Street look. Here is what the Freeview info pack says:

Check your aerial

- Most rooftop aerials can receive Freeview in a coverage area

- Some aerials will need upgrading - for example, if they are old or poorly sited. If you are a tenant or share an aerial with others, check with your landlord first.

- A list of local aerial installers approved by the Confederation of Aerial Industries can be found on their website www.cai.org.uk Ask for a wide band aerial, ideal for receiving digital signals. An aerial survey or upgrade may involve an additional cost.

Check coverage in your area

- Call Freeview on 08708 80 99 80

- Check your postcode online at www.freeview.co.uk

- Text your postcode to 83331 (standard rates apply)

Coverage information is based on prediction and not guaranteed.

Well, that's my typing practice done for the day LOL.
