Hello JackySi.

thank you for your reply, but i´m searching for real firmware updates for the nav/radio. I don´t need map updates.

greetings

These are real updates lol... It shows 4 different devices including Amudsen. Its for maps and software.

The update portal does not provide firmware updates - only maps, station logos and BT profiles.

@nofear54321 Unlike the older RNS type units where firmware could be updated by SD or DVD, the MiB firmware is done by connecting the car to the Škoda server for checking and downloading/installing any firmware update, which can only be done at a Škoda authorised workshop.

Unless your infotainment has a fault to be corrected under warranty the workshop may charge for the time taken to do an ad-hoc check for updates and/or installation. Infotainment firmware updates are not checked as a matter of course.

If they are available for your specific model then they are inevitably intended for correcting software malfunctions (bugs) or corruption but I have yet to hear of any MiB firmware update that has changed or added any functionality.

Don't try to fix something if it isn't broken! If it is broken then visit the dealer.

Don't assume you can load the software/firmware used in an MY17 or later device onto your MY16 unit. MiB is "Modular infotainment Baukasten" so to add new features a redesigned hardware module is often used. MiB is intended to aid the manufacturer in updating the system hardware with new functions without needing to redesign the entire unit, not to enable existing owners to upgrade their units.

Thank you for your statement. My car isnt anymore in warranty since 01.09.2017. Two years are over now and i was in service at 30000km in 07/2017. I have bluetooth problems with my Iphone SE (IOS11). The connection is not stable. After sometime (between 20-30minutes) bluetooth connection is lost. This behaviour was also with Ios 10. The dealer said that this problem can be fixed with a update for the amundsen. The fix was installed but problem is still there. i reseted amundsen and my iphone without luck. This is very annoying.

Have you tried another iPhone with your car.

this should give you a better idea of whether it’s your phone or the car at fault.

Hello guys,

I'm new to the forums, as I just got my 2015 Octavia with Amundsen Hardware 041, currently running 0435 software. After reading about all the benefits, I would like to update it to 0490 version.

Can someone send me the link to PM or to [email protected]?

Thank you in advance...
