hello first post so please bear with me. I,ve just purchased a 2015 Octavia vrs black edition and have a bit of confusion about both front and rear mudflaps. Have checked various sites and threads who state that with a bit of persuasion the standard octavia mudflaps will fit.I,ve now come across the standard mudflaps for sale that state they will fit vrs but not vrs black edition.Is the rear bumper on black edition that different to make them not fit.Any advice greatly appreciated

You can't get a " Black Edition " Octavia Vrs.

 

The " Black Edition " Octavia was only a 1.6 Tdi with 5 gears, they only came in Black or white.

 

Standard Octavia Mud Flaps should fit

Hello thanks for the reply ,just had another look at documents and its not black edition but described as 2.0 tdi vrs black design plus does this make any difference

As far as I know standard mud flaps will fit both front and rear.

No, as far as I know standard mud flaps will fit both front and rear.

The confusion may be because the Mk2 & Mk2 FL had the 'nearly fit' mud flaps for the VRS rear.

Yours is a Mk3 and I definitely don't know if this 'feature' was carried forward.

"Normal" Octavia MKIII mudflaps fit perfectly on the vRS, even though the dealers say they won't. I've got a vRS, and had a non vRS MKIII and the flaps fit exactly the same (and perfectly) to both. The only thing is that the vRS is slightly lower than the standard, so you need to be a bit more careful with about scraping the flaps on high kerbs. I've not had any issues so far though.
