Damn right, they are staying.

Appreciate the coolness that is GTI. You don't take a really tidy low mileage 20 year old GTI and put a crappy aftermaket gear **** and seat covers on... You need teaching, you'll get there!

Joel - mine to is an 8v - and yes, I do need spares! :D

I need all the dash swiches, and the resistor pack from the side of the fan box... I'm sure I'll need more bits along the way!

If you are on MSN - add me!

would have to get new interior seat cover things-really is hideous!!!

Pah thats gratitude for you, dont have a car to drive, bloody walk.

Fiar play to you for being able to strip the car and put it back together. I would love to be able to do that, but i wouldn't know where to start.

I hope to purchase a MK2 GTI later this year, but i would probably stick to the novice stuff, and get a mechanicto do the rest.

Best of luck, i will look on eagerly.

Tom, that PAS is a **** to fit with the motor in! BTW have you priced up a replacement hose from VAG???

Also Have you got everything for the PAS?????

I've now decided to scrap the PAS idea, it feels so nicely weighted while on the move, would be a shame to ruin it. And I have big arms, so whats the worry!

Just ordered a huge amount of parts for it from GSF, came to just over

The MK2 PAS is actually really nice! I converted my Old MK2 when I swopped from an 8V to a 16V motor! Much easier to do without the lump in place Like!

My local VAG Specialst tell me you can take apart a MK2 with just three spanners! Having almost done so my self I believe him :)

Notice the journal yesterday so I added mine own :D

If you need any parts let me know and I will keep an eye out for them when I'm down the scrappy next week
