CR140 TDI & Shark Remap after Dieselgate fix.

Featured Replies

I have a Shark Performance remap using their STS unit which I am very happy with.

What has the experience been for others getting Skoda's remap 'fix' for their emissions cheat?

Has it buggered up the Shark map or its ability to use the STS unit to restore it?

Having the fix applied to your remapped engine will remove the remap and make it worse than it was when standard. It is well documented the problems the fix causes. As you are happy with your remap I would avoid getting the fix applied.

I agree with Kenny...

There is no reason to have "the fix" applied, just leave your engine as it is and enjoy it. All the "the fix" is likely to do is cause you problems and expense :)

Thanks both for your replies

Have VAG / Skoda not guaranteed to honour a remap and pay for the reapplication if a car with a remap is presented for the dieselupdate and the remap is lost???

In Germany a car has been taken off the road because the owner refused to have the update applied. I wonder how far the UK / DVLA is lagging behind Germany.
