Headrest Removal GRRRRRRR

Featured Replies

From day 1 the removal of the rear headrests was driving me crazy. Skoda in their wisdom decided that 2 pairs of hands were needed, along with a wee pointy tool, to extricate the headrests from the seats.

(A) hold down tricky button on one leg

(B) find pointy tool to depress hidden button on second leg

(C) find another pair of hands to pull headrest up out of seat

GRRRRRRR

Thank goodness someone saw sense on the Kodiaq where you only have to push one button to pop the headrest out.

As I often have to swap baby seats in and out I had to find an easier way.

So hey presto - patented Headrest Removal Tool.

Take one bottle opener, file it down to suit, attach to lanyard and stuff it in the seat back pocket.

Headrest can now be removed with one pair of hands  :)

Brilliant, but you can improve it even further by drilling an additional  offset hole large enough for the key ring so it can still be used as a bottle opener :)

Simply clever.
