Howdy.. i own a 2015 Octavia 1.6tdi Ambition Combi, is there a possibility to add speed from the nav split screen.. where it shows speed limits from gps? kinda looks like this searched the forum and google.. can`t find anything..

Do you have a Lane Assist/High Beam Assist camera mounted behind your rearview mirror?

 

Either way, I think it is possible to utilise Traffic Sign Recognition even without the camera. You'd need access to VCDS however.

How can you utilise traffic sign recognition without the camera? If you don't have it, you can't enable Traffic sign recognition. How are the signs going to be read?

I'm sure there were several options in the adaptation channel which included a "fusion" mode which utilised the camera observed signs and the navigation system signs, or only the camera observed signs or the navigation system signs. It could well be that this option lies within the A5 controller for the camera, in which case, Yes, you would need the camera.

 

It's too cold and snowy for me to go and sit in the car to check right now!

No.. can`t say I have... I thought there was an option i wasn`t seeing to move the "split screen" info to the maxi dot.. or like to switch it instead of the compass or some such..

I thought there are two camera types - low spec that can only do HBA, and high spec that can do HBA/LA/TSR etc.?

 

My Octavia only has the low spec camera that does HBA at address 20 but cannot have LA or TSR enabled with VCDS as that requires the high spec camera at address A5.
