Yeti 2014+ front H7 lightbulb change

Featured Replies

Sorry if its silly question, but how do you guys change H7 type lightbulbs on your headlights? Ive got yeti 2014 TSI 1.2 - not large engine, but there is almost no space to reach the sockets and replace H7 bulbs. Is there a tutorial to do it without breaking something?

You remove the cover of the inside of the headlights and pull the bulbs out firmly. However having smnall hands helps.
A mirror to look inside first helps.

Do I remember a 'How to...' in the Yeti Guides section, by one of our experts?  Or am I dreaming again?

The bulbs push in and pull out, you don't have to turn them. Leave the wires connected and pull ot the bulbs using the metal rim of the bulb. Remember the bulb orientation.

Connect the new bulb to the wiring then replace, my hands are not that small but I managed with a little patience and care.

:worried: So I was dreaming again.  Hey ho.

There's a wealth of useful and hard-won information in the Guides, which I think are not 'searched' as often as they could be.

Mark the rim of the old bulb with a permanent marker before removing it, to ensure correct orientation.

Also as suggested, a mirror helps.

Did a Citroen C3 bulb recently.... SO SO difficult to get to.

Seems to be a trend with modern cars. Make stuff as difficult to get at as possible, in an effort to drive you to the dealer.

Unfortunately I was not able to do it myself. Bulb wont pop no matter what. Was afraid of breaking things, had to give it to dealer's hands :(
