Featured Replies

sorry i posted this by mistake in the mk3 forum

hi guys my control on my drivers side door has stopped working the windows dont work neither does the lock button....however the elec window button on the passenger side works, could this be a fuse if so do we know which one i need to look at..many thanks mark

More likely to be a broken wire/s in the rubber boot between the door and A pillar.

thanks mate ive checked inside the rubber boot all seems tight in there

The info regarding wires in the door loom is usually a good bet. Be sure ALL the wires are intact as it can be hard to spot a snapped one particularly if it snaps right near the visible end! ITs worth really looking hard as it sometimes gets missed.

Any tips on how to remove the rubber cover to get at the wires

mine rips if I try to remove it

Thanks, looks like a few have my problem

and the way to do is it from the car side and not the door
