Red 2004 Octavia vRS Mk 1 for sale.

This is in amazing stunning condition and looks like it has only covered 30,000 miles.

Originally a demonstrator, it has been owned by it's owner for 11½ years until recently when it was traded in against a brand new vRS.

I bought the car a few weeks ago as I needed a car as a stop gap whilst my S60R was at a Volvo specialist for several weeks whilst they sorted out an intermittent fault.

I had a Mk 1 vRS for 12 years and knew what a good car they are (still) and found this at a used car dealer. It is in such good condition I thought an enthusiast would want this as it is so good. It has covered almost 112,000 miles which is an average of 9000 per year so low mileage for its age.

The owner was an engineer and did most of his own servicing, however there are some Skoda stamps in the service book and a number of receipts. Most importantly it has had the timing belt replaced twice by Skoda, the second time at 98000 miles at a cost of £647

The vRS drives really well for a 13 year old car with no rattles or squeaks. The bodywork is virtually unmarked with just a few stone chips on the bonnet. The interior is standard half leather / mesh cloth and is in remarkable condition with no rips, tears or burns. The original 17" Spider alloys are unmarked and all the tyres are good.

This has got to be one of the best original Mk 1's left and has been treated like a baby and maintained very well. I have considered putting it away in storage as it will be a sought after classic in a few years but I now have my Volvo S60R back on the road and so no longer need the car. I paid £2000 for it and am offering it hopefully to an enthusiast for £1850 or nearest offer. The V5 is in my name. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the car5a3acbfeee7ba_vRS3.thumb.jpg.4f5077c52960b25c32e353a137b5db99.jpg.

The car is located in South Wales between Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff. I can collect prospective buyers from Cardiff or Newport railway stations.

Please contact me (Kelvin) with any questions.

Nice clean car, might have a need for a cheap runaround. Can you explain the difference in the lower bumper vents please, whats going on behind there?

looks like the RH one (drivers) is missing, either completely or just the horizontal part

Is it something to do with beefed-up air intake?

I wondered the same when I bought the car but there is nothing behind the grill. I had a Lemon yellow Mk 1 vRS myself for 12 years which I bought new in 2002 and actually did the Milotec grill conversion myself. I assume the owner did one side and not the other but they just unclip so it's easy to do.
