wiper went 'clonk', now one doesn't work....

Featured Replies

Just a quick question, one wiper (wouldn't you know, it's the drivers side !) has just stopped. I'm getting the linkage that moves it has broken, come off or whatever. I've not had the chance to get the cowl off and have a look, but I wondered if anyone knows of a common likely cause, and how easy of a fix it might be

Thanks

Could be as simple as fell off the linkage, in which case just needs pushing back on (might be a holding screw that needs tightening)

If one is still working motor is attached to linkage, possibly linkage has become detached from one arm, can you reconnect.  However if something has broken (the hinge pin) then will need spare part.

My hunch is connection is detached, not a broken linkage.  Not complicated to fix.  Although might need to unscrew bit of plastic grill to reach it.

I've just replaced the £2.78 part for the second time... first at 71k and now at 95,500...
