2010 Octavia Vrs Mk2 Facelift Brakes

Hi all,

Sorry if this is already on here. What brand of discs and pads do you recommend  I fit to my car? MOT is due in Feb. Discs are looking corroded. Just going to replace them all in January.

Many thanks,

Gaz

ATE ceramic pads & matched discs.

There's a million threads on this.  Did you have a search?  lots of good opinions.

Again sorry if it was on here. I had a quick scan but never noticed anything at the time. However I looked more into it when I wasn't as busy and the opinions seem quite mixed.  I was thinking either Pagid or ATE looking at them though. Trying to figure out if ATE price tag is worth me going for, or if they both perform as good as each other. Apart from the brakedust.

Cheers,

Gaz

pagid are fine

I put Brembo pads and discs on all round and they have been good!

Depends how long you want to keep the car, how you drive and how long your brakes usually last.

I did my rears in June.  Used DBA plain face rotors and Wagner pads (probably not available in the UK).  They were mid-range quality but cheap (AUD180 delivered / GBP105) and I want to change the car in the next 24 months & the original brakes lasted 180k kilometres.  I'm happy with the result, 90% less dust and they appear to stop the car as good / better than the OEM pads.

Pagid disks and pads all round on mine. Been good.
