Evening all newbie here I'm currently looking at a 08 plate 1.4tdi pd with 186000 miles on the clock and was wondering if there is anything to look out for it looks like the services are up together the cam belt is due but not worried about that. However there was a bit of smog coming out the filler cap and dipstick is this anything to worry about. Thanks a lot 

Worth considering that the 1.4 PD engine is fairly common for snapping oil pump chains.

That is a lot of miles in 9 years so lots of bits a pieces of mechanicals to be worn out.

Maybe plenty been replaced already, or not, so that needs finding out, 

So if you are ready to replace anything needing doing and the major stuff, is it cheap enough?
