@simemkd - I'm not 100% on the Felicia 1.6, but on anything else with that engine I'd say go to a dealer and get a genuine part (green).

The suitable sensor for your engine/year has part number 6U0919501B. The color of the ring is blue.

Buy

Different colors means different thermistor characteristic because there are two temperature gauges manufactured for Skoda Felicia 1.6 (before or after 02.96).

are you sure about that because the old one that was in the car was with a yellow ring and the car was working perfect without termostat later i put a termostat and the car started working on  hight temperature and the fan opened too late.but before that the fan was working just fine ,it opened at 95° and closed at 88°.This picture is with a new termostat so the yellow coolant temperature sensor and the fan on that temperature kicks in

one more question

what radiator fan switch is for my car if you know my car has 3 pins and i think that it should have 2 speeds

but the fan switch that is in my car has 2 pins and the fan has 1 speed and i think that it is not correct .

If you know the color of your existing sensor, why do you pretend you don't know what sensor to buy? What doubts do you have?

So why are you asking me if I am sure about what I'm posting? Your car has many non-factory items on it.

why you think that should be blue and not yellow?does it matter that the car have a/c and 3 pins for fan switch?

@simemkd - The CTS supplies data to the EMS and gauge, but not to the thermostat or the entirely separate fan thermoswitch. Faulty data to the EMS can potentially cause hot running due to wrong fuelling and ignition timing values. This is why using a genuine (and correct calibration) CTS is important. It is also why the CTS may not be the cause of your symptoms.

Look, there are several reasons I have quite a lot of Likes. One of them is that I am using reliable part catalogs that show exactly what part to order based on engine type and car's year/month of fabrication. Moreover, if you looked at this link posted by me, you should have seen why that is the correct part. I stop here.

Man, just listen to Ricardo. You just  don't know that when you  are posting a problem, you want Ricardo to read it 'cause he will guide you through the steps to solve it.

Hi! I have a 1997 Felicia with 1.6 engine. My friend tested the coolant temperature sensor and said it is faulty. I now don't know which one to buy, because on autodoc there are blue and yellow ones. My car now has a yellow one, but I read that from 1996 onwards they had a blue oring. It is possible that the sensor was already changed by previous owners. Should I buy a blue one now?

Buy parts by their code, not by their color. The faulty part has a code stamped on it.

yeah i know, but on autodoc there are diferent color sensors with the same part number so I am a little bit confused.

Hi, does the 1999 1.3mpi use the blue sender also? Cant seem to find the info anywhere. I suspect mine is either failing or the wrong colour and need to replace it with the correct one. Thanks!
