VW IPOD Interface kit

Featured Replies

Thanks to a link posted by Jeff a little while ago I have now added some info on this kit to my website.

http://www.fabia-vrs.com/vw_ipod_interface_kit.htm

I think it would fit pretty much all current skoda's as it comes with both the newer Quadlock interface as well as the older Mini ISO connector.

I have heard that these are also available from Skoda but as yet I don't have a number. VW and Audi are listing it at a cost of

its listed on the skoda website in accessories for £99. will be inquiring when i pick up the vrs this week as my griffin itrip is suffering a little now...

ill see what info i can get

Certainly be interested.

Well don't hold your breath. It's not a product Skoda UK keeps in stock, so it is ordered in with a longer lead time of around 7 working days from when Skoda Uk send the order out to the supplier, which from what I have been told is Denison. Either way they have sold over 140 in just over a week of being on sale, not stocking the item at Milton Keynes it's a bit of a dumb idea, but what do I know, I'm just the customer.

Basically I ordered one at the start of the week, Skoda sent the order on the Tuesday, so 7 working days from then is Thursday next week

Have you tried VW Jeff?

There is also a link on my website for a bloke who looks after the SCN guy's offering a discount.

mines already paid for, so I might as well wait till next week, it should come sooner, 7 working days is the maximum lead time Skoda have been told. I'm in no rush for it, just would have been nice to have been able to fit it while I was off this week or at work during the weekend.

If the kit is made by Dension then it will almost certainly be a re-branded ice-link plus. I've just fitted one of these into my Fabia and without the cradle it would be useless - the Symphony head units don't display tag info on the display, so you need to have the ipod on show/in a cradle to use it properly.
