Adaptive cruise control retro fit

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,I'm new to the site and have just bought a 2015 Octavia vrs black pack plus.its pretty well equpied but the only thing it's lacking is adaptive cruise control (it has standard cruise control)it also has active lane assist I've seen a couple of forums talking about how cost ineffective it is to do the retro fit but I was just trying to get an Idea of what would be needed for the upgrade,I know the front radar is needed along with a new grille, a new stalk and shroud for the steering Column other than that though is it simply down to activating in vcds or does the fit require an upgraded instrument cluster, wiring looms and or other module control upgrades?

*****update***** I've just been pricing the parts needed for the fit which includes the acc stalks and slip ring €140,wiring loom €30,acc front grille €23 and the front radar €420,total price €613 all these parts are new so it might be possible to get cheaper second hand or reconditioned.other than installing these parts would it just be activation issue to get it working? If i could get everyrhing for under €500 I might consider attempting the retrofit I just don't won't to go through the hassle of ordering and fitting everything only to find out a new instrument cluster or additional on board computer modules are needed?if all that was left after the fit was activating in vcds it might be worth it.Any thoughts?

Have you had much luck? I've enquired in Skoda West London and was told that since Skoda don't provide a retrofit kit to go from front radar (emergency break, frontal assist etc) and normal CC to full ACC, then that means it's not work that Skoda recommends and thus they wouldn't take that type of upgrade on. Shame...
