Does anyone know how wide the Superb is at the tyres? The brochure says the car is 1,864mm wide, 2031mm at the mirrors.

Look on it this way: the scuffs would be consistent on all four alloys...

Tell me where that is so I can make sure I never go there. I thought multi storey car parks were bad enough for scraping alloys.

Yes I panned out of Google Maps and looked. I was born in the North West and I've never been anywhere near Co Durham and unlikely to go there in the future as I now live in the South West. 

That does look a bit narrow, I have to say that I wouldn't chance it!

Beautiful part of the world, you can approach from the other side of the river where (IIRC) the car park is.

 

If you jump up and down on the bridge it bounces.

 

Lived about 5 miles away when I was much younger.

 

We did get across this one in October (twice) but it was neat

Sorry just noticed you had put that measurement on your original post.Its about 30mm from the wing edge to the wheel so i would take off 60mm so about 1.8 m.

 

At 5'6", I think you'd scuff more hat your tyres!

Either the sign is wrong or they have re-done it since we were there but the first Octavia went through with the aerial folded down.  SWMBO stood and checked it wasn't going to touch.

If Rémy Julienne hasn't used that to take the roof off a bus, I'll be very surprised
