When I bought my 63 plate Octavia the external door lock cover was missing. I have since got a new one, and it is being painted as we speak.

 

Does anyone know how exactly these are fitted? From looking at it I presume the front end (end which points towards the front of the car), is offered up first, then push and click the unit into place.

 

Any tips/instructions welcome.

From memory it’s tuck the tab under the top and push it down until it engages at the bottom, although I could be wrong.

That would make sense if the notch for taking it off is at the bottom (from photos I think it is).
