  • Beginning to think you need to start asking a few questions about this. As in, a blunt ‘There are pieces of trim missing, the tyres don’t match - what else haven’t you told me about this car?’

  • Ok today I received a call finally from the general manager.    He opened the conversation saying ‘its the man that doesn’t call you back...’   I’m all for jokes and humour but I w

Glad it sounds nearly sorted. Not wanting to perpetuate some of the more 'doom and gloom' prophecies in this thread, but the 'belt and braces' bit of my brain would suggest you ask the Manager who cal

Lol "... It was meant to read who was the dealer you got poor service from.

i understand if you would rather not say on here .

but you have been treated bad and by naming them may help others.

For a number of reasons I’d rather not say. The matter is closed now and thankfully I can move on.

What I took away from all of this was to go over any car with a bloody microscope to avoid any dispute later on.

Still annoyed with myself for missing bits of trim that I normally would have picked up on.

Next time Im taking nothing for granted.

You live and learn.

the missing seat trim happens when folding seats flat and roughly shoving in a long load.

It catches under the seat trim and pops it off. Its a bit of a faff to replace so the previous owner has probably not bothered.

Please post some pics when you collect it.  I bet it looks the dogs.

Here’s the Superb replacement. Being unwrapped and prepared for delivery tomorrow hopefully.

Spec is Octavia vRS 245 DSG with Pan Roof and one or two other bits.

I can't say I am a fan of those alloys but I like the split front light design; no accounting for taste eh?

Hope you have better luck with this one.

Yes, an acquired taste I think

I really like that @EddGee  nice work

I think the Octavia vRS looks great as an estate. I’m the opposite to Sagalout, the alloys set the car off IMO

Good luck and enjoy tomorrow; hopefully a better experience for you this time.

Stop encouraging him. The rest of us are jealous enough as it is!

Must say I do like the look of the Octavia in white. And those alloys look excellent. Enjoy matey hope all goes well.

That's a cracking looking motor. I like those wheels personally and even the facelift lights are growing on me. If they had made a petrol VRS with 4 wheel drive ( or even a Scout ) the chances are I would be driving one now.

Same here with the lights, particularly on the vRS models.  The non-vRS ones still look a little iffy as there's nothing much else on the car to draw your attention from the lights.

Hows it going @EddGee ?  Collected yet?

Hi mate

unfortunately I can’t get there today.

On a training course at work which left me stuck on site most of the day.

Very frustrating but hey ho that’s the way it goes sometimes.

Collecting tomorrow now for definite.
