Hi ,, Any one know how hard to get at egr on 2.0 engine, throttle body and manifold blocked with carbon , but garage not keen on cleaning egr  to being hard to get at. 

 

It's at the back of the engine between the block and the downpipe/DPF. 6 hours of labour to change it is about normal.

Find a VAG local specialist to do it for you....
They will know exactly what to do and it will probably work out cheaper for the experienced.
