Every morning the battery is struggling to turn the starter.....everything electrical is working.....but I thought I better start by charging up the battery to see if the fault is there....I'm no expert by any means. I've disconnected battery, but it won't come out....is there something fixing it down....couldn't see anything. I'm assuming I need to loosen something but I have no idea what or where it is.

 

Anybody point me in the right direction please.

 

Also I've noticed when tightening the battery connections they still spin on the battery  slightly....don't know why.

There's a bolt you need to undo that holds a bracket against the front lower edge of the battery, outside/through the battery box. 13mm socket required, on an extension.

Look straight down the outside front edge of the battery box and you'll see it. Often rusty.

Maybe with the battery out have a look at the connectors/terminal to see if you can make them tighten up a bit better, if you can't, check to make sure that they are not warming up when you try to start the engine.

May be worth visiting this thread, and checking that the battery light behaves as it should. Very common fault.
