Need Towbar for Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

HI All.

I run a Driver training comapny based in Oxford running a fleet of Fabia SDI's. I have just added a VRS to the fleet as a flag ship but have know hit a small problem, the car will be mainly used for Advanced and High Performance courses but will also need to be able to back the others up on courses like are very popular Towing course, but I seem to be having problems in finding anywhere that do them, I now you can get them I have seen them out and about.

I would really appreciate your help on this.

Cheers

Unfortunately the Fabia vRS does not have Type Approval for a towbar. See the post below:

PS: Use the Search facility at the top RHS of the screen and do a search for Fabia vRS Towbar to find what makes members have fitted successfully.

As posted before I got a tow bar and electrics from my local Skoda dealer for my Vrs.. Std Fabia bar kit and also std electrics kit about £140 Fitted no bother and NO visible mutilation of body work..  R

Sorry but in retrospect you should have done more research before buying the car. It's a well known fact that the Fabia vRS is not type approved for fitting a towbar - though the reasons are obscure/unknown. Hence anyone fitting a towbar is acting illegally and an insurance company would be well within its rights voiding any claim on a car so fitted. Ordinarily private owners might feel this is a risk worth taking - though I certainly wouldn't - but as a commercial enterprise you'll have to toe the line completely and abandon all possibility of doing this.
