Fabio makes it 2 wins in a row on the satellite Yamaha from Vinales and Rossi for all Yamaha podium in Andalucia.:hi:

Very promising young rider.

Riding a cross plane Yam myself I want Yamaha to win this year and they have the best chance in years but Jerez is a handling track rather than power so the tracks coming up with be better for the more powerful V engines rather than the inline 4 cylinder bikes.

That's very low.   Using the tragic demise of a young rider as an opportunity to spout off your sly anti-Hamilton propaganda.   Shocking. Even beyond what I would expect from some

Marquez should had had a black flag for the grid infringement in my book, but his riding afterward. Oh dear, he has always been over agressive but really, he indirectly ruined Dani's race and Vales fo

Read about the tyre preparation Fab did, that no-one else but Rins did too.

Michelin recommended putting a 3 lap heat cycle on the race tyres in warmup, but everyone else went with brand new tyres at the grid. Worth at least 0.3 a lap apparently. Good choice by Fabio and his engineers.

Maybe the Petronas way of doing things, works in F1 so why not motogp.

Suzuki did it too. Michelin recommended it for everyone.

Certainly Mercedes F1 have done it in the past when the soft tyres were their Achilles heel. A short heat cycle in practice improved the race tyre life.

Marquez to miss Brno after the titanium plate in his arm broke!

He's been in surgery again today to replace it and is staying in hospital 48 hours.

Amazing. Totally reflected F1 in that the previously dominant rider and team couldn't make the tyres work this week.

Well done KTM  - apart from Pol who made 2 mistakes in 2 successive corners, fell off and threw his toys out.  Many observers including Casey Stoner blamed him for the collision. Clearly KTM won't miss him next year anyway ( and he hasn't a hope against Marquez at Honda )

Nice to see Olivera congratulate Binder on the track after his immature bitching at KTM when Binder got the works bike.

Dovi to leave Ducati after ongoing negotiations fail.

Will they bring Lorenzo back next year? Or pair Miller with another youth?

Ohh.  Just started talking about this on BT Sport.

Off to WSB maybe, Honda perhaps.

Lucky escapes for several riders, particularly Rossi whose onboard is amazing .........

Beyond Scary. Almost killed both Yamaha riders.

Otherwise though MotoGP is so much more unpredictable and exciting this season without #93. Dorna really should pay Marc to stay at home all year to recuperate.

Watching Hondas new signing Pol losing his temper every week is well amusing too. What a petulant little sod he is. I don't expect him to be a happy bunny at Honda either to be honest

Marquez out for likely another 2 to 3 months whilst arm heals.

Future teammate Pol meanwhile gains KTM their first MotoGP pole at RedBull Ring today.

Did Pol bottle it?

A race that was totally Joan Mir's by right was then presented to Pol#44 or Miller#43 after the restart but they tripped over each other and Olivera got his maiden victory.

So now Pol isn't even going to be the second rider to win on a KTM? Will he ever win?

Did you watch  the race on BT sport? Neil Hodgson predicted correctly on the last lap that as his pit board showed +0 even though he had about .5 of a second, that Pol would go defensive and he did, thus allowing Miller to catch him. If he had stayed on the same lines as the previous lap he would have won easily. He took it quite graciously, considering his recent spat with Olivera who benefited. Great to see other makes, new names, teams and non-factory winners on the podium.

Don't have sports channels unfortunately so just watched YouTube highlights. Nice to see if Pol has actually reined in his grumpy side.

Hard to say this- but MotoGP is much more exciting without Marquez this year.

Yes agreed. Mir totally deserved to win, miles ahead before the red flag.  unlucky his tyres gave up as the 2nd part of the race was a 12 lap sprint.  Vinales amazing dismount into turn 1 at 140Mph with no brakes.

Poor old Mir after being over 2 seconds ahead didn't have a new front tyre left to put on for the restart. The others all had fresh rubber.

  • 1 month later...

Just watched some recent races.

So pleased to see Petrucci and Lowes back on the top step.

Almost a Brit 1-2 in moto2.

Such a shame for Jake Dixon.

Lowes wins again.

Mini-Marquez podiums again on the Honda. His first win must happen soon I think.

  • 5 months later...

Marc Marquez tested a minibike this week.

Then a full day test on a Repsol Honda RCV213.

Decision: not yet fit. Will skip first 2 races at Qatar at least.

Zarco just smashed the motoGP top speed record by nearly 4 mph, hitting 225.5mph in FP4 at Qatar.

Great win for Mav, and also Sam Lowes who bossed the whole weekend in GP2.

Did you see the amazing  start - the Ducati's were 1-2-3-4 into the first bend, and one of them came from 14th on the grid!

Rossi qualifies on the back row between KTM & Aprilia no-hopers Leucona and Salvadori.:crying:

Must be time for the GOAT to stop before he hurts himself.

Other massive disappointment at Honda with star signing Pol Espagaro 17th on an all Honda 6th row. Only reserve rider Bradl making the top 12.

Marquez given OK to return at Portimao.👏👏

MM93 back to work today.

Sixth fastest in practice, 0.4 seconds off the lead, on his first day.👏🏻👏🏻

Oh, and 0.4 faster than team mate Pol, who's been riding the bike for several months.
